幼发拉底河斑鳖（Rafetus euphraticus），又称两爪鳖，是一种大型淡水软壳鳖，分布于中东地区，是幼发拉底河和底格里斯河流域的标志性物种。
趣闻
属名“Rafetus”源自阿拉伯语“rafesh”，为该物种在当地的传统名称。该物种与同属的斑鳖（Rafetus swinhoei）是世界上最濒危的龟鳖类之一，但幼发拉底河斑鳖的野外种群相对略多。
形态特征
背甲橄榄绿色至褐色，无大斑纹；腹甲淡黄色或灰白色。头部巨大，吻部短而钝，鼻孔位于吻端。四肢粗壮，前肢具三爪，后肢具两爪（故名“两爪鳖”）。
生态习性
栖息于大型河流、湖泊及灌溉渠道，偏好缓慢流动的水体。以鱼类、甲壳类、两栖类为食，亦食腐肉。繁殖期在春末夏初，雌龟在河岸沙地挖洞产卵，每窝产卵20-50枚。
主要威胁与保护
主要威胁为水坝建设导致栖息地丧失、水质污染、非实意捕鱼（误捕）及采食。IUCN列为濒危，但在CITES中未列入。伊朗、土耳其等国设有保护区和人工繁育项目。

分布范围：伊朗（伊拉姆、胡齐斯坦、洛雷斯坦）、伊拉克、叙利亚、土耳其。估计原生占有面积（AOO）约263,030平方公里，出现范围（EOO）约508,066平方公里。IUCN红色名录：濒危（EN A4c）。最大直线背甲长（SCL）：雄53.7厘米，雌57.0厘米；最大直线背甲长（CCL）雄68.0厘米。
