形态特征
最大背甲长度雄性13.5厘米，雌性19.5厘米（Blanck et al. 2017）。头部金黄色，壳色较深，腹甲具黑色斑纹。
生态习性
与指名亚种相似，半水栖，生活于山区溪流及附近湿地。杂食性，以水生无脊椎动物和植物为食。
主要威胁与保护
面临栖息地丧失和过度捕捉压力；因分布区与指名亚种重叠，保护现状相同。CITES零配额限制国际贸易。
